How can someone's sister be their aunt and their mother and their sister?

This person's Maternal Grandmother is the surrogate mother of this person in question. The maternal grandmother relationship makes her the mother to this person (by birth only), she is also the aunt to this person, and if she has a sister, she becomes the sister as well.
