Although Fenway Park was not previously a frequent venue for concerts, the Red Sox new ownership has used the venue for two concerts each year, starting in 2003 with Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Jimmy Buffett in 2004 and the Rolling Stones who kicked off their 2005 A Bigger Bang tour with two consecutive shows at Fenway Park. On July 7–8, 2006 the Dave Matthews Band played at the stadium, with Sheryl Crow.
