If you're not familiar with Yoshinoya, it really can't be compared to anything else because there is nothing else like it. For those experienced in Yoshinoya culture like me (I have been eating at Yoshinoya ever since the first one opened in Los Angeles on Vermont across from Los Angeles Community College in 1979), you can expect the same thing--down-home Japanese food--flavorful, unique, and satisfying.
