Is this quite right? According to this site,
Statue of Liberty Pedestal 27,000 tons, 13,300 cubic yards, which doesn't leave a lot for the statue itself. http://libertyellisfoundation.org/statue-facts
I would have thought one of those huge Asian statues of Buddha would be heavier.

The Spring Temple Buddha, the world's largest statue, includes 108 kg of gold, 3,300 tons of copper, and 15,000 of steel. Its weight is at least 18,300 tons.
