William Hugh Nelson's nickname is obviously "Willie" but his friends call him "Shotgun" although his publicity does indeed quote "Red Headed Stranger" he prefers "Trigger Happy" or "Trigger Master" (Trigger being his N-20 nylon string guitar named after the Lone-Rangers horse)

Only because I can't stand to see a stray nit not be picked, but I'm pretty sure Trigger was Roy Rogers' horse, and Silver the Lone Ranger's.

I was just glancing through "The Tao of Willie" and found out that when he was a kid, his nickname was "Booger Red"...P.S. For any Willie fans, the book is enlightening...
