Cleopatra, last queen of Egypt, committed suicide using poison, possibly snake venom. However, when found, her body was only marked with two small scratches on the arm, and there was no sign of a snake. One of her last requests was to be buried next to her lover, Mark Anthony, and it seems likely that Octavian, the Roman conqueror of Egypt, followed her wishes. Nevertheless, their tomb has never been discovered.
