Someone on this site asks the same question and the answer given is Dusty Springfield, although the song lyrics were written by Marilyn and Alan Bergman. Further comments say the album that this song is on is called 'Dusty in London.' I just heard the commercial this evening for the first time, or it caught my attention for the first time because of this question.

The singer is Dusty Springfield, and the song is "What are You Doing the Rest of Your Life," music by Michel LeGrand and lyrics by Marilyn and Alan Bergman. (No "for" in the title.)

I didn't know Springfield did torch songs--it's a beautiful cover.

I actually thought it was Alison Moyet (it was on her '04 album of covers, Voice). It has been cut many times over the years, quite respectable by Rosemary Clooney (yes, she's George's aunt).
