Classical musicians are rarely regarded as international sex symbols, but Yo-Yo's an exception to that rule. In 2001, Ma was selected by People magazine as one of the Sexiest Men Alive. If music soothes the savage beast, it can also help stimulate the passions.
Brazilian music seems to stir the cellist, who sums it up by stating that its "undercurrent of sensuality... is incredibly seductive." Could Yo-Yo spearhead a movement to make classical music more sexy and stimulating to a wider audience?
