According to this site, Gordon Sumner, aka Sting, taught English in a secondary school in Cramlington. However, I question the information, because he did not earn a university degree, and he is a certified primary school teacher, with qualifications from a teachers' college. I suspect that St. Paul's First School in Cramlington actually is or was a primary school:
