Do ants yawn?
My five year old asked me and I can not seem to find anything on it.

Hi. Yawning involves inhaling and exhaling. Since insects don't have lungs, they are physically incapable of anything even resembling a yawn. All the organisms which are known to yawn are among the mammals, with a few unproven claims that some lizards may also yawn. Yawning has been shown to be "contagious" in chimps and humans, but I don't know if it works with dogs, cats, or other yawning mammals.
