David Lynch's "Blue Velvet" -- The movie begins with some pleasant shots of a typical suburb; flowers and firetrucks and the like. The man that was watering his lawn, grabs the back of his neck and falls to the ground, still clutching the hose, while baby watches in amusement and the dog has a lovely time playing in the stream of water. Cut to a close zoom through the grass where we watch insects in battle. Cut to a billboard: "Welcome to Lumberton".
