My husband the Sudoku freak insists the correct pronunciation is as on the site below -- "Sue Dock Oo," with no special stress placed on any of the three syllables.
In English, it is difficult not to stress a syllable, because we are so accustomed to such a stress. Most people I know say "Sue-DOH-Koo," stressing the second syllable and giving it a long "O" to rhyme with "Joe."
Given that the puzzle has become so popular in the West, the Western aficionados should probably be permitted to call it whatever they please:
