The only time Miley and her family ever came close to having a pet was in the episode "The Idol Side of Me." Jackson borrows a large dog from a friend in order to scare Oscar, the neighbor's dog, from barking anymore. It didn't work. Besides that, Miley mentions several times that she used to have a pig in Tennessee named Luanne.
