The only country to have won at least one gold medal at every Summer Olympic Games is Great Britain, ranging from one gold in 1904, 1952 and 1996 to fifty-six golds in 1908.

Not to be traitorous to my country, but it does help that Briatin has never boycotted an Olympics for political reasons. The sporting giants Russia and United States, however, have, and that goes somewhere to explaining why they haven't won got gold at every Olympics. They weren't there!
