It seems rather hard to find an answer, actually. He doesn't seem to go on about it, so he probably doesn't belong to any of the more evangelical or fundamentalist groups. They can't pass up an opportunity for publicity. Then again, he's having problems, with the Doxology arrangement business (and others) not to mention his blood pressure....

The comment about publicity is based on long personal experience and observation. Some religous groups keep schtumm about their faiths (Baloo's for example), others shout it from the rooftops. The comments were made in the spirit of research not for the purpose of knocking or converting. Negative findings are sometimes the only ones that can be found.

Also, his brother Adam has cancer. I looked for this answer quite a while this morning and didn't come up with anything concrete.
