With 4,042 lines and 29,551 words, Hamlet is the longest Shakespearean play, based on the first edition of The Riverside Shakespeare (1974).

In Love's Labours Lost, Costard uses the word "honorificabilitudinitatibus", which is the longest word in English literature.

The question was about the longest PART. The answers so far seem to be about the longest play.
I'm looking for the character who has the most lines (or words) in a Shakespeare play.

Which Shakespeare character has the most lines?
Hamlet, with 1569 lines, is the most loquacious Shakespearean character. Richard III is second, with 1161 lines. Iago is next, with 1117 lines, and then Henry V, with his 1063 lines. No other characters have more than 1000 lines.
