The National Trust Org.'s site contains this excerpt:
We protect and open to the public over 300 historic houses and gardens and 49 industrial monuments and mills.

There are many more than that when you count in the woods, camp sites, moors and coastal areas they look after. A very rough calculation based on the index to the 2007 Handbook gives at least 540 entries. Source: NT Handbook and a piece of paper...
